What you will learn¶
This guide is written for store owners, not developers. Follow it from top to bottom and you will have a storefront configured the way you want it, without touching any code.
Ember Theme uses no external services and asks for no API keys — everything it renders comes from your own catalog and settings.
You will learn how to:
- Install and activate the theme.
- Pick the variation — Home, Fashion or Food — that matches the look you want.
- Work through the Theme Editor section by section.
- Set up the two features that need more than a checkbox: the Lookbook and the Page Builder hero.
- Use the four custom page templates: About, FAQ, Track Order and Lookbook.
The three variations¶
Same features in all three. Each variation has its own layout preset as well as its own colour and type, and each is named for the kind of store it was designed for: Home & Garden, Fashion & Jewelry, or Food & Beverage.
| Variation | Layout preset | What it looks like | Demo |
|---|---|---|---|
| Home | Classic | Logo left, split hero beside its copy, framed product cards four across, orange accent. The theme's own defaults. | ember-home-demo |
| Fashion | Editorial | Centred logo over the menu, full-bleed hero, three-across grid, display serif, brass accent, opens in dark mode. | ember-fashion-demo |
| Food | Market | Wide search on the top row with the aisles below, framed hero with the copy on the photo, round category tags, five-across home grids, herb green. | ember-food-demo |
Pick the variation first
Switching resets any setting the target variation defines. Choose the variation before you spend time on colours, or you will do that work twice.
